After two presentations in class on Friday, I settled in with minimal homework and lots to do for the weekend.
The weather here has been absolutely beautiful. Ideal, really. Especially after such a hot, clammy summer. Allergies are a concern, with leaves on the ground there is always a little dust and mold in the air - but still, I will take it as a welcome change compared to summer.
Wilson has been getting a LOT of outside time. Lots of walks, a great deal of sitting in the yard watching the trees for squirrels. I have been getting a lot of outside time, too. I am dog sitting for a friend for a couple of weeks. I'm actually watching his dog, his house and his cats, but I rarely see the cats, and the house is no trouble. I bicycled over to check on everyone several times this weekend - my only concern being daylight. It was such a treat to get out on my old grocery-getter and not really have any deadlines.
I met a dear friend for dinner Saturday night and had such a nice time. I'll admit I am getting a little spoiled by eating out whenever I feel like it. My graduate school budget doesn't really allow for that, but we'll see how it all works out.
When the daylight is gone and I am in for the evening, I have continued to work on my blanket. It is coming right along. Yes, it should be the cure for my winter blues.
I've been 'WIP'ping up a row at a time and stitching it together. I am currently adding the eighth row of twelve squares. It seems like a lot, but it is still not as big as I want it to be. So I stitch on...
