Busy, busy, busy.
Work is busy. School is busy. Second job is busy. Critter Central at home is busy. Thanks, Fnn, your bursts of energy at 2:00 am every morning are so nice.
This week and next week I will finish work, have critiques, meet with instructors, critiques, and also some critiques.
This weekend is Open House for my Saturday School. I'm really excited about seeing everyone's work. It's nice to look at work from the standpoint of instruction for a change. No painting necessary.
Next week, in addition to the aforementioned critques and work, I am submitting some pieces for a juried exhibition. It's hard to paint with my fingers crossed, so I'll just have to wait and see. I am also waiting to hear about a particular scholarship that will really help me with my next two years of school. Pins and needles about that, actually.
This morning, my car looked like this:
Wet paint on some, dry paint on others. None of these are really my area of interest, but I am trying to be a good student and give it all a try.
In the next two weeks, I will be moving my office at work for the first of three times before fall. I will also be submitting more scholarship applications. I have a commissioned painting to complete. I will most definitely be voting. Oh, yes, and I will also be going through the advancement review for my BFA program (although that's not until May 15). In addition to that, in my spare time, I will be working on the construction of my submission to a wearable art show the first week of June. As an artist, I cannot go to such an event in something off-the-rack. Therefore, I will be finishing the piece, meeting with the model for alterations, and constructing my own wardrobe for the event. Plenty of time.
